Emma Cockbill

Artistic Director, Boys Choir Director, Senior Choir Director 

Emma is a freelance musician, educator and workshop leader. She is passionate about the importance of music education, especially singing, and wants to improve access to quality music education for all children. As well as her role as the Artistic Director of Warwickshire Youth Choirs and Warwickshire Sings, Emma works as a pianist and Team Leader with Music of Life, a charity who bring music education to young people with disabilities. She is very proud to be the Senior Programme Manager and one the founders of Apollo, a charity which improves mental health and wellbeing through music and the arts. Apollo run performance-based, participatory music projects and bespoke training programmes in partnership with organisations such as Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the NHS. Emma is also a conductor, teacher and repetiteur for a number of organisations. She is an accomplished pianist and is a busy chamber musician, playing concerts and raising money for charity.

Emma studied music at Emmanuel College, Cambridge where she was also a Senior Choral Exhibitioner.

Beth Thompson

Operations Director

Beth has over 25 years experience of administration and marketing in both the corporate and public sector.Beth has spent most of her career since university in marketing communications and organising and managing events in the UK and Europe - from small scale dinners to full scale Awards evenings and conferences for more than 500 attendees. She moved from the corporate world, to music education when she joined Warwickshire Music in 2015. Her time running an office team, managing the membership systems, finance systems, communications external and internal, organising events and recruiting allowed her to build her network and gave her the key skills to bring to the operations and logistical side of the Youth choirs.

Jeremy Dibb

Girls Choir Director

Jeremy studied at Manchester University and the Royal College of Music before specialising in music education. He has taught in hundreds of schools to children aged 3-18 and built an enviable reputation as an ensemble director, choir trainer and music education specialist. Jeremy joined the Warwickshire Music Service in 1997 and became the Director in 2014 before stepping down in 2020 to pursue other interests. 

These include running a major community singing project called 'Warwick-A Singing Town' in addition to conducting and composing. His passion has always been to bring the joy of singing to children and he currently sings with around 550 children in 9 schools on a regular basis.

Liam Condon

Liam Condon is an Organist, Choral Director, Animateur, and Music Teacher and has been an animateur for Warwickshire Sings! since 2022. His other roles currently include being Assistant Organist at St Alphege, Solihull, Organ Teacher at Warwick School, Musical Director of the Lichfield Palace Singers, and Accompanist to the Lichfield Cathedral Chorus. He has previously held roles at Coventry Cathedral and Lichfield Cathedral. Liam also enjoys composition and has written a mixture of warm-ups and songs for his animateur work, alongside more formal pieces of music. Liam studied at Royal Holloway where he was organ scholar, which gave him the opportunity to tour with the choir to various destinations in Europe and North America as well as playing live on the radio! Liam is grateful for the opportunities given to him and strongly believes that all children should have the chance to develop their musical skills in schools

Hannah Dodd 

Hannah is thrilled to have joined the team this year and has thoroughly enjoyed teaching within the program. She is very passionate about music, both from a teaching and performing aspect. Not only does she teach with the Warwickshire Sings program, but she also teaches 121 Musical Theatre and Pop singing. She also works as Head of Music at the ELAN School of Movement, which provides dance and music sensory classes for adults and children with SEND. Hannah has said that if it weren’t for her Head of Music, she wouldn’t be the musician she is today and because of this, she is ensuring she will have the same influence on her students.

Aliyah Wiggins

Aliyah is a singer songwriter from Birmingham who began her journey as a music leader in 2020. Since then, she has worked with multiple organisations such as; Welsh National Opera as their Vocal Leader Intern, B’Opera, Quench Arts and more, expanding her knowledge and experience along the way. Throughout her career, she has shared her passion and knowledge of singing, creating workshops for all ages, infusing music technology and multiple genres of music.

Aliyah is currently completing her Quench Arts CME course to obtain her Level 4 Certificate for Music Educators accreditation from Trinity Guildhall, as well as her You Are Gold: Gold Arts Award. For her next chapter, she has begun working with Warwickshire Sings to continue expanding on her musical knowledge whilst working within schools delivering sessions!

Laura Collins

Laura Collins is a keen music educator, especially in inspiring children to sing. She has twenty years' experience of teaching and conducting choirs in community and school settings. In addition to working forWarwickshire Sings! sheis an Animateur for TES award-winning MusicShare and Outreach Tutor for SC Choirs.She taught at the Birmingham Ormiston Academy from its inception, leads mentoring programmes for music teachers, adjudicates music competitions and also composes choral works.Laura trained in choral singing at Cambridge University where she was awarded a choral exhibition. She specialised in jazz vocals at the Guildhall School of Music and has sung in notable venuesaround the UK with musicians ranging from Jean Toussaint to Tina May. Aside from conducting and performing, Laura is a passionate singing teacher to adults and children.
