Junior Choir - New for September 2025 - ages 5-9 years
Warwickshire Youth Choirs has an impressive history of running inclusive open-access singing opportunities for children from across Warwickshire.
Our Junior Choir is for all children from ages 5-9 years when they progress to our Senior Choir. It is a fun, friendly and inclusive group who sing music in a wide range of styles. We learn lots of fun songs and music games providing an all-round music education which benefits focus, attention, co-ordination and cognition. Recent research has shown that children who benefit from high-quality music education programmes before the age of eight show profound positive changes in brain development. Participants voice is regularly incorporated in our planning.
The Juniors rehearse on Wednesdays in Leamington Spa from 6pm to 7.15pm at St John the Baptist Church, Tachbrook Street, CV31 3BN. Members get involved in lots of exciting termly events including concerts, special performances, workshops and competitions.
Membership is paid monthly and costs just £22.50 per month. Bursaries are available for those on low income and you can sign up for your FREE taster session at any time.
Senior Choir - new for September 2025 - ages 10+
The Senior choir also have a strong reputation. Our Senior Choir is a mixed choir for children and young people aged 11 to 18+ with lots of fun, friendship and support available. Our expert team support changing voices and help young people develop good vocal technique and control. We learn to read from sheet music and sing in several parts including acapella. We have a wonderful accompanist, Carolina, who supports our rehearsals. The Seniors take a leading role in all our performances and events.

Our Young Leaders Programme is a completely free training and work experience for musical young people aged 15+. We provide training in the essentials: safeguarding, EDI, GDPR, H&S and also lots of opportunities to try out musical skills. You could lead a warm-up or game, conduct a song, arranging or composing, presenting a concert, lead a section, help at a workshop, support a young person with sight singing or behaviour, designing a poster and so much more. We will support you to find your strengths and lean outside your comfort zone just enough to realise how amazing you are!
We can accept vocalists, pianists and percussionists onto this scheme.
